If you had to pick one company to shop for all the new furniture for your brand new home which would it be? It may seem like a strange question but I've given it a lot of thought.

They've got the most amazing shop packed with the nicest furniture you've ever seen. They've got things for every room in the house and it's all high quality beautiful pieces of top notch furniture that'd look fantastic in my home here in the North West of England or even the beautiful converted Mill I've got my eye on in Devon.
Take note: When I win the lottery and buy the mill set in a tiny Devon village I will be spending an awful lot of money at The Cotswold Company.

As it is now I pick items I can fit into this house and with their massive range of accessories and decorative pieces I know my house here will look wonderful whatever I buy.

They only sell nice things. Tasteful, beautiful artistic things that will be both attractive and practical.

I've got their catalogue here on my desk in front of me. It's packed with things I want to drool over and have in my own home.

The Cotswold Company have recently expanded their range of soft furnishings to include some amazing cushions

This collection is called summer meadow cushions and consists of a beautiful willow blue cushion and a thistle cushion also in Silk, and a blue cornflower patterneed cushion and a daisy cushion. These cushions are in delicate blues and browns in contrasting materials and textures. They're lovely and would look fantastic on a sofa or a chair or collected together on your bed. Feather filled for quality.

This modern contemporary range of cushions feature bold geometric patterns in great colours - limes and brown. The pattersn are Sanderson Rythym, Harlequin Energy and Globaltex flock circules. These would grace any modern sofa or bring a touch of modernity to an older couch.

This is my favourite set as I love lilacy lavender pinks - these would look lovely anywhere in your home, whether you pair them up on your bed or arrange them on a couch. With lilacs, creams and a touch of green they're very english country garden and being feather filled will be comfortable and hard wearing. They'recovers are removable and dry clean only made from natural materials including silk and cotton. These are high quality beautiful cushions. These would look good on any couch or wicker furniture in your lounge or conservatory.

The Summer Flowers collection is also lovely with traditional floral designs in pink, cream and green they are bolder patterns than the other cushions (apart from of course the contemporary) but again are stunningly good to look at and being in a range of designs including pink cornflower, aster and dahlia will be suitable for bringing a breath of fresh air to your lounge or bedroom. They're ideal as decorative cushions as they're bold and can be used to highlight other colours within the room. An ideal room accent to bring out colours used subtly.

Their ranges of furniture are well picked so that you can buy either an item at a time or a full range for a room. They have a wide range of farmhouse furniture which is very popular. It combines great storage with a natural look with woven rattan baskets featuring as the design. The baskets make storage each and allow a contrast between the sengon wood frames which are beautifully built and the softer appearance of the rattan. It's available in many pieces to enable you to build up your entire lounge using this set. It's available in natural lacquer finish which looks fantastic, as well as warm ivory, slate blue, rich burgundy or heritage green finishes. This choice enables you to find exactly the right furniture for your home.
I'm fond of the natural wood look but love the smooth cream finish too that would lighten up a home.

Their hall furniture leaves me stunned each time I see it - and each time I see they add a new item I'm dying to read more about it. The hall sets consist of a bench with storage for shoes and baskets for hats and bags, then an overhead shelf unit with hooks and tons of storage again. If your hall gets cluttered and you'd like somewhere to sit whilst you take off your shoes then this set is ideal for you. It's now available in a corner piece too to fit into small spaces. Again made of Sengon wood with a range of finishes - Ivory, Natural and Tobacco. These will fit into any hall style you've got. With natural wood being a popular finish. The seat is padded so it's comfy too. This is a great way of decluttering your hall way and having a place for everything in your home.

A new addition is the Alsace furniture range. It's very pretty and I like this a lot. It's a delicate blue teal colour which brings a rustic charm with it's burnished metal handles. If you're after something a little different for a room then this range is it. It's available in a variety of chest of drawes and sideboards bringing essential storage with style to your home. This will look good in any room with natural materials on the walls or floors.

A much more stylished set is the solid sheesham. This is beautiful wood is made by hand into the exquisite piueces includind trunk tables which are just so lovely that you'll want one for the lounge and for your bedroom! These are really high quality items that bring out the uniqueness of each piece of wood. There's side rables, chests and drawers in colours and wider items. These will look lovely as they have a touch of class about them.

The Wiltshire furniture range is made by hand from pine. They have a soft cream finish with natural wood waxed tops and handles. They are ready fully assembled and are modern and soft country cottagey all at the same time. They will lighten up your lounge with their lovely light colour and the range includes bookcases as well as storage units.

The Cotswold Company have a wide range of finishing touches for when you've finsihed picking the big items of furniture. They've got bedding and rugs and the most delightful set of cushions as I've described above. They've also got lots of art including some modern wall hangings that are made from metal and available in several patterns. They've got some winter trees, berry trees and woodland wall art pieces which I think are very lovely and would be an ideal alternative to pictures. They've got a really lovely piece called the Poet's Ivy Wall Panel which is a stunning piece of black steel creating the most lovely ivy flower pattern. They've got smaller items including picture frames, firescreens and scuttles as well as a fireside companion set. The entire site shows off their furniture using their lamps, pictures and rugs bringing you an easy to duplicate level of style, but because of the enormous variety of pieces you can mix and match to bring new looks to your home easily.
